I thought Stranger With My Face too. Astral Projection, apparently. It's by Lois Duncan and she wrote quite a bit of teen fiction, but not really a series as such because they were all stand-alone stories, I think.

The Tomorrow People? But that was the 70s.

Oh, ignore me. Thought this was tv series question.

I recently found this book in my parent's loft - brought back soooooo many memories. I was also captivated by it.

Recently gave this to my 13 year old daughter to read. Loved it when she told me how she’d been trying to astral project,. I spent hours trying to do it too when I read it myself all those years ago. Lois Duncan also wrote ‘ I know what you did last summer’.
