Something like Ready Player One or the Da Vinci Code in terms of a series of quests

Does anyone have a recommendation for a book (audio book) like Ready Player One/The Da Vinci Code in terms of a series of quests or puzzles that need to be achieved to reach the final goal.
I’m not bothered about the setting, could be past, future or present, just want fast paced, gripping and moderate peril.
This is to listen to on a series of long car journeys with two teenagers 15 and 16, so young adult/teenage characters would be a bonus.

Many thanks.

Labyrinth by Kate Mosse?

How about Dan Brown's other books such as Angels and Demons or Inferno?

Seems likely they’ll have read it already, but just in case - how about the hunger games?

Ender’s Game might also work.

There’s a rather niche sub-genre of fiction called LitRPG, which combines elements of game mechanics and more conventional story-telling. These are by nature very quest-driven with lots of small quests and an overarching one. I haven’t read much of this stuff, but really enjoyed the audiobook of Sufficiently Advanced Magic by Andrew Rowe, which is cleverly narrated by Nick Poedehl.

End Game by James Frey

A non fiction recommendation: The Lost Ark of the Covenant by Tudor Parfitt is like a real life Indiana Jones story.
