Fiction book set around the rock music scene

Trying to get DH a book a little different to his usual crime/thriller/mystery ones

He loves rock music, especially from the 70s so I thought there might be a good one set around that time in that scene

I saw a book called Arc of a Shooting Star that looked ok: washed up rocker, gets band back together, but local bookshop say they can't order as it is an Amazon exclusive and the paperback on there is £12.99 so a bit of a gamble without a recommendation plus would like to order locally

Any ideas? Thnx

Also came on to say Espedair Street!

Then excited to read:

"David Mitchell has a new one out in a week or so which is about a band. Obviously no idea what it’s like though! It’s called Utopia Avenue"

I am a David Mitchell fan and have read quite a few of his other books so will definitely be looking out for this

I thought Daisy Jones and the Six was weak... I wouldn't buy that book for a 70s rock fan!

I won't get into it here, but I really thought Taylor Jenkins Reid was one of those wattpad writers who get offered a book contract based on their huge following.

Terry Pratchett 'Soul Music'

It's about music with rocks in!

Another recommendation for Utopia Avenue by David Mitchell. Good book set in the 60’s/70’s about the rise and fall of a rock band.
