Jilly Cooper - favourite and least favourite characters

I've recently been introduced to Jilly Cooper after years of writing her off as badly written crap based on my mum's scathing opinion when Rivals was published years ago

So I thought it may be interesting to see who people like and loathe from the Rutshire Chronicles - I'm currently up to Wicked! (which I am enjoying because it's like a grown up Malory Towers and I am familiar with the world of schools in a way that I am not with polo and opera).

I would say the characters I enjoy reading about most are:
Taggie Campbell Black (although after Rivals her appearances haven't really shown her character as much)
Rupert Campbell Black
Dame Hermione (so awful she is entertaining)
Fenella Maxwell

Least enjoy:
Rannaldini
Cosmo
Helen
George Hungerford

Anyone else?

I love Luke, - particularly Luke, swoon, Rupert, Bas, Flora, Ricky, Daisy.

Dislike Rannaldini, Cameron, Helen, Billy, Janey.

I do need to reread though, it’s been a while.
