I've recently enjoyed Pachinko and little fires everywhere. Bit less sure about Such a fun age. Anyone read the Dutch House? I kind of find that American authors can be a bit marmite...

Yes I enjoyed it, I'd put it in my top 5 read this year

I really loved it. And Ann Patchett is one of those authors, I think, who needs a wider readership in UK as her writing is ace! I said it 'was beautifully written and mesmerising.." if that is any help www.tripfiction.com/novel-set-in-and-around-pennsylvania/

Loved it so much. Recommending it all over the show now.

I listened to it as an audiobook on a really long travel leg –never really got into audiobooks before, but Tom Hanks reads the Audible version and that element of it was heaven, too.

For PPs who have read it, what other similar things have you come across? I'm dying to get lost in something like this again but I can't seem to find anything that hits that note...

Miller’s Valley and Ask Again Yes are similar and just as good.
