Has anyone read this?

I haven't watched the series yet bar a couple of the first episodes but the plot intrigues me.

Is the book any good and worth a read?

Yes - it's a bit different to the TV series. The follow up book The Testaments is good too.

It's a great book, I've read it a couple of years over the last 10yrs or so. The really scary thing about it is that Margaret Atwood says that everything she has written in Handmaid's has actually happened somewhere in the world already. I'm reading The Testaments at the moment, which is also good.

It’s a brilliant book, I’m not sure I could stomach it at the moment you’re a braver soul than me!

Enjoyed the Testaments too - not as good as the HT but still a good read.
