I wouldn't say that I enjoyed it but it is a thought provoking read. At times, I found it really frustrating and the protagonist isn't really likeable, which I think was the intention.

Have you read it and what did you think?

I read it a couple of years back. I thought It was very readable and thought provoking but know what you mean about being loathe to say I enjoyed it.

I think it would be a good read for teenage girls to demonstrate the pitfalls of social media.

Ps her other books are good, especially Almost Love, which is about an obsessive relationship.

I've just read Marian Keyes new book and she thanks Louise O'Neill in the acknowledgements. I think they're friends.

Thank you for the recommmendation Spidey. I read Only Every Yours a couple of years ago and thought it was very "Handmaid's Tale" but for teenagers.

I have a 12 year old dd who I am still trying to guide around using social media. She's a good reader and fairly mature but I don't think she's quite ready for Asking for It just yet.

Yeah maybe 14-15 years old would be more appropriate.
