Pet Sematary - for a 13 year old?

I read Pet Sematary when I was a teenager, but I can't remember enough to know if it will be suitable for my 13yo son. I've started reading it again but may not get through it before Xmas Day. Any thoughts?

I read it when I was 13. Same as It, Cujo, Carrie, Christine, and Mysery.

I read it at a similar age and found it really creepy but it had little emotional impact on me (yay teenagers!). I read it as an adult and found it really emotionally difficult. So for an unemotional, not overthinking type of teenager it might be okay! However if gore (extreme gore at the beginning!) and bad things happening to kids would scare your son, then maybe steer clear.
