Book for 16 year old

My 16 yr old DS has not really read for pleasure for about 2 years now and I want to buy him a book he will want to read!
Before this I remember him reading "The Enemy" book series by Charlie Higson and he enjoyed the Noughts & Crosses books by Malorie Blackman.
Any recommendations?
What are your 16+ teens reading?
TIA x

Stephen King? John Grisham?

My 15 yo ds has just devoured 1984, the handmaid's tale and the Testaments.

What's he into? Generally, because that helps. I read Station 11 and passed that on to ds who thought it was great.

My lad is the same. He does like sports biographies though.

Sports biographies he should enjoy.
I looked at The Darkest Minds books online they look really good I just wasn't sure if they were his age group. Might get the first one and see how it goes.

They do look quite good.. I might have a read of it too.

The 5th wave series is another good dystopian series if he likes that sort of thing, with nothing too strongly themed and a movie as well
