Women's Hour watershed fiction

Has anyone else voted for their watershed book? I love hearing what other people choose. I would probably choose Jane Eyre.

vanity fair - all of life is in that book, I swear, love the tangled everyday drama - and all that measured bitchiness.

Ooh, I love VF too! Read it twice. Also love Jane Austen. Love, love, love 'Our Mutual Friend' by Dickens.

Dear ZolaPola and Chincilla - are you enjoying the R4 adaptation of VF at the moment? I'm loving it and look forward to reading it.
What about other Dickens? I'm a huge David Copperfield, Oliver Twist and Great Expectations fan.

VF - didn't know it was on. Never mind...I saw it on BBC4 again recently.
