Just that really.
I know Dickens is the obvious suggestion, but I'm looking for something different.
Any genre, except mills and boon type stuff. X
TIA

I like Mr Dickens And His Carol by Samantha Silva. It’s a fictionalised story about Dickens writing A Christmas Carol and it’s lovely!

'A Good Man in Africa' by William Boyd is set the week before Christmas. Not your typical Christmas novel though Grin.

They are children's books, but I love John Masefield, notably The Box of Delights, which is set in winter. If you did it with its prequel you'd probably have enough to discuss at a book group.

@CountFosco that novel made me literally cry with laughter.

We all enjoyed "Hercule Poirot's Christmas."

Two very different books, both set in Alaska in winter:

Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson, is excellent. Atmospheric and involving, based around a murder trial but much more than a crime novel.

Or The Snow Child by Eowen Ivey is a more of a fairytale if you are looking for a lighter read.
