I am currently reading Wilde Lake. I've read only six chapters so far but I can see I like the way she writes quite a lot, and the atmosphere she creates. I know already I want to read more from her.

Recommendations for her best books?

I’ve only read Sunburn, but I enjoyed it.

Her Tess Monaghan series is excellent. I think the first one is Baltimore Blues. Female PI, lots of great characters and very good descriptions of Baltimore.

I second Sunburn, also When She Was Good and her latest, Lady In The Lake.

She's excellent I'm currently working my way through her books myself !

I like the Tess Monaghan series - I've liked the standalones I've read too, but there's something about series for me, especially female PI ones (well, I quite like grumpy old police detectives as well). And as Lady Caroline says, Baltimore Blues is #1 in the series.

Thanks Elkiedee I'll try her series too
