I've run out of Tales of the City books- what else might I enjoy?

I've finished my second reading of the Tales of the City series. I've absolutely loved being whisked away to seventies, eighties, nineties and noughties San Francisco, and now I feel cast adrift, back to my own boring life!

What else might I enjoy? Anything similarly witty, pacy, smart and naughty?

Not terribly similar but might float your boat are the Luke Jennings Killing Eve books (the ones the TV series is based on).

Will keep thinking...

Anyone else got any good suggestions?

Ooh - just thought of another - the Elena Ferrante Neapolitan books, My Brilliant Friend is the first one. Again, different to Maupin, but has that 'whisk you away' business going on.
