I’m going to read all of Stephen King’s books, in order

Wonder how long it’ll take me Grin

My mum got me into Stephen King when I was a teenager but I only read The Shining, Pet Sematary, IT, Misery and Carrie, in fact I have reread those ones dozens of times over. Oh and Nightmares and Dreamscapes. I have tried The Stand but can’t get into it! So now I’m determined to start from the beginning and read everything he’s written. So far I’ve read Carrie and am now about 30% through Salem’s Lot.

Just curious if anyone else has done this and which is your favourite? Any you gave up on?

I've read all except the Dark tower stuff and Lisey's story, couldn't get into either of them!
Christine is my favourite, but I'm a fan of loads of his older stuff. Fire starter is good too! I don't really like his new stuff.

Excellent idea. Just don't read the dark tower included in your "in order" once you read The Gunslinger go straight into The Drawing of the three etc because there was quite a few years between them being written. I found the first book in the series the worst but the rest amazing and was absolutely bereft when I finished the dark tower. IMO Wind through the keyhole is also best read between Wizard and Glass and Wolves of the Calla as that's where it fits but was written last and it's quite odd out of sequence.
Hmmm I could be tempted to copy your idea
