Poldark books that aren't spoilers for the TV show?

I've never read any of the Poldark books but have watched the show religiously. I don't suppose there are any of the Poldark books that are set after the first few seasons but won't spoil the current one?!

The new season isn’t based on the books. In the books there’s a big leap of about ten years from the last book the last series was based on and the next book, so the series is based in what happened during that time in between.

This new series is conjecture so the first 5(?) Will be past up to where they are.

There's a time jump, so the current series is set well before the next books unfortunately.

But there are a good few subplots they didn't use in the series, so might still be worth starting the books from the beginning even though you'll know the main bits?

Ah, I see! Thanks!

The first 7 books were covered by the earlier series. I'd start reading from the beginning.

Start from the beginning...really. The books are wonderful and will give you so much more depth and background about the characters.

If you really want to start from the end of the series, The Stranger From The Sea is the next in the sequence.
