Bit niche possibly!

For a bit of mindless reading I like funny ‘cozy mysteries’. They don’t even have to be funny if they’re gripping and well written!

I haven’t found a good series in a while though. My favourite is the Meg Langslow series. I also like Miss Fortune.

Anything on kindle unlimited would be great as I have a free trial.

I loved Rhys Bowen’s Royal Spyness series and her Molly Murphy series. I also really enjoyed Catriona McPherson’s Dandy’s Gilver series but it’s much more serious than Rhys Bowen. Not sure if they are on kindle unlimited as I don’t use it.

Free ebooks - cozy mysteries are one category

Carola Dunn's Daisy Dalrymple series is good. They're set in the '20s and are all cosy country house mysteries a la Agatha Christie. My library's e-reader service has them all.

From kindle unlimited - Faith Martin, Pippa McCathie and Betty Rowlands would be my recommendations.

Have you tried Agatha Raisen? I haven't read them yet but they strike me as Marple-esque cosy mysteries.
