Love a good location read whilst I'm on holiday. Currently in the Italian mountains.

Bonus points for a historical novel.

I last read Sharon penmans "here be dragons" whilst in wales which blew me away.

Thank you!!

Where Angels Fear To Tread if you like a Room With a View.

I also adore the Brunetti detective stories set in Venice when in lazy mode. Donna Leon.

A thread of grace by Doria Mary Russell. Set in ww2 in Italy.

Also second a room with a view, one of my all time favourite books. I was thrilled when I was in Turin and there was a massive thunderstorm.

P.a. Cucina

Set in Palermo, Sicily. I read it years and years ago but it's always stuck in mind. Great if you're a foodie too.

The Italian wife, Kate furnival

Shaping up to be a really good Italian historical fiction, set in the time of Mussolini and a really interesting read!

You've probably been on your holidays by now but I've just read Pompeii by Robert Harris while on holiday in Naples
