Does anyone know where I could read/purchase these short story collections in electronic format?

Hi,
Just to clarify, I need them in electronic format because I am blind. The two sites that I primarily use for electronic books (Apple Books and Bookshare, which is a specific site for blind users) don't have either of them. I'm also not a huge fan of the Kindle app because of accessibility with the softwear I use. The collections I am looking for are:
A Hard Time to Be a Father by Fay Weldon
Four Bare Legs On a Bed by Helen Simpson
Any ideas on where I might be able to find them (and read them legally?)
I'm also currently living in the US. I'm not sure if that's relevant, but I know that sometimes that can affect purchasing.

Hi, both your books are available from Apple Books in the UK, so it looks like a rights issue to me (the publisher holding the US rights hasn't distributed there).

If you can track down the publisher of the US print edition I suggest emailing them and asking for the books to be made available in digital format.

I work in publishing and we often make old books available as ebooks due to requests like this (there are so many old titles we weren't able to convert them all initially).

Hi, thanks so much for your reply. Can you usually find the information for the publishers somewhere on the app? Also, since I know both books were written by UK authors, would there be likely to be a US publisher for them? Sorry for all these questions but I appreciate your help!

Once you have the kindle edition you can convert to the needed format with calibre.
