What is this book? New novel. 1920s/30s Art Deco geometric design on cover

I frequently get sponsored links to newly released novels come up on my Facebook page.

One caught my eye recently, but now I can't find it again in so I look it up to see if I want to read it.

I'm assuming it is a new novel. I didn't recognise the author's name. It appears to be set in the 1920s/30s as has a striking Art Deco cover with a kind of triangular geometric design. I think the blurb said something about parties/glamorous young people.

Can anyone help?

Is it the 7 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, something like that?

No, not that one, but thanks for responding.

Orphan Monster Spy? A young adult book.

VittysCardigan · 24/01/2019 22:28

After the party?

Azelma · 24/01/2019 22:33

It might be Orphan Monster Spy; the cover is certainly along the right lines. But the blurb doesn't seem right. I think the one I'm thinking of is about glamorous parties etc (but I'm prepared to be wrong about that!)

I don't think it's After the Party either, but I think this is one that has been similarly advertised on my Facebook.

Was it A Sky Painted Gold?

BanditoShipman · 24/01/2019 22:41

THE power (think it’s called that) has an Art Deco cover, not about parties though.

I found it - it's "The age of light: A novel" by Whitney Scharer.

www.amazon.co.uk/Age-Light-Whitney-Scharer-ebook/dp/B07GNHQKXP/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=the+age+of+light+by+whitney+scharer&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1548370214&sr=8-1

It appears to have two different covers, but this will hopefully link to the one I saw.

Thanks all. Some great other suggestions here to go on my to read list!
