'Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow' - missing pages - fill me in?

Hi. Just started Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow and just getting into it when realised pages 25 thru 30 are missing . Live in Egypt and miles away from any place likely to have another copy. Could someone please give me a brief summary of those pages OR if you're really handy, scan and send via email. Can't bring myself to continue the book without those pages - hate to think I might be missing out on something that will tie the whole book together. Cheers.

Unfortunately think I may have lent all my copies out - I'll hunt.

If I recall - the early parts are quite loose ramblings - the 'whodunnit' only kicks in in the last third or so. I'd advise carrying on (slowly).

same as Kif - have long ago oxfammed my copy - but am pretty sure that nothing at the very beginning is crucial to the whodunnit element!
