Just bought it on kindle so it's my next read. I'll let you know when I've read it Grin

Thank you Samine

I think I have had this book out of the library but I can't remember it! Could you remind me of the plot please? Amazon is giving nothing away. There are so many with "Girl" in the title, they all blend into one for me!

Moodykat · 10/07/2017 16:10

I have read it and I think I thought it was quite good. It's a page turner!

QuimJongUn · 10/07/2017 20:21

Awful. Misogynistic and the dialogue was just terrible. Sorry Sad

I've just read all Sabine Durrant's books and they're far more nuanced but still thrilling. Ditto Erin Kelly.

whatwoulddexterdo · 11/07/2017 07:55

I quite liked it. Found it creepy and a notch above some of the other psychological thrillers being touted round.
Like pp said I also love Sabine Durrant

Cheesymonster
Two women at two different times rent a very minimalist house from its horrible architect owner with very strict terms and conditions.

I've just finished it! Had to read fast as it was due back at the library. I actually enjoyed the premise but the no one knowing how she died didn't seem realistic with the house tbh. Wouldn't be me living in a house like that! No books?!

SfaOkaySuperFurryAnimals · 12/07/2017 12:27

I am just finishing this book, it has its good parts but its a bit 50 shades of naff for me I'm afraid, good concept, perhaps just not to my taste.

catlover1987 · 12/07/2017 13:26

I've read it. I really enjoyed it, although for some reason, I just could not picture Edward! It had an interesting plot and I loved that the one of the main characters was essentially a house. I did have a little tear in my eye at the end.

Matilda2013 · 12/07/2017 13:29

I had Edward like the dad from the twilight films.. blonde and vampire like. No idea why Grin

Cheesymonster · 12/07/2017 22:09

Nope definitely not read it Grin

FerretsAreFeminists · 18/07/2017 22:57

I didn't really like this one tbh.

I'm still a bit confused about what the deal with Edward and the house was and I definitely don't understand why anyone would want to live there.

I found the two main characters very unlikable.

Also what was the deal with the before chapters having no speech marks? Obviously the writer deliberately wrote it that way because speech marks were used in the now chapters but why? What purpose did it serve? I found it very distracting.

SamineShaw · 20/07/2017 21:32

Just finished it and really enjoyed it. Was an interesting whodunnit and was rooting for Jane in the end! Emma and Simon deserved each other

midsomermurderess · 05/08/2017 22:27

I lost interest and gave up on it. The characters were lazily drawn.

MandalaYogaTapestry · 06/08/2017 18:07

Can't say that I loved it but couldn't put down nonetheless. Found the male character very fake but the plot is gripping.

lemony7 · 08/08/2017 11:38

This book is bloody awful. You can tell it's written by a man! It's vulgar and wrong in so many places. Don't waste your time!!

snoopyokay · 09/08/2017 14:19

Just finished it too, thought the 'twist' was pretty obvious!

Airbiscuits · 14/08/2017 00:51

I have read it. It's okay for a holiday read. But great literature it's definitely not.
If I had a paper copy (rather than kindle) I'd be embarrassed to have it on my bookshelf, basically. Mindless tosh.
