Did The Girl with a Pearl Earring make everyone else swoon as well?

Oh, this could have be up there amongst my favourite books of all time now (for this week anyway). It is so lovely and evocative and mysterious. Loved it.

I loved it too Tinker. I read it some time ago and havent seen the film as think it might spoil it. It was really well written and although not alot happened plot wise really gripping all that desire and inability to act on it ahhhhhhhhhhh!

I really fancy reading this now , love storeis brimming with passion and desire.

Read it a while back and loved it too. the detail was wonderful... and kind of reflected his paintings. very cleverly written. Might have to read it again!

Wonderful, wonderful book.

Made me look at his painting in a different way, that is for sure. Haven't seen the film yet but the book is so fantastic and so evocative.

I have read Lady and The Unicorn too, again another perfectly written book!
