I have a queue of books on my kindle and am going to start a new one tonight. Can't decide which to go for though! I'm in the mood for a page turner that will grab me immediately and not make me work too hard!

22.11.63
Life after life
The secret keeper (Kate Morton)
the Goldfinch

Which should I go for, oh wise Mumsnetters?

Stephen King, without a doubt.

notoneforselfies · 12/01/2014 22:31

Agree ^

BunnyLebowski · 12/01/2014 22:32

The Goldfinch.

I'm reading it now and it's fantastic.

Armadale · 12/01/2014 22:34

I just started the Goldfinch today and I'm already loving it.

MuttonCadet · 12/01/2014 22:35

Life after life is brilliant

beachedwhalesarecool · 12/01/2014 22:37

I started The Goldfinch today too....already engrossed. I have a good list of books lined up on my Kindle after last weeks 99p Kindle sale bonanza.

Kasterborous · 13/01/2014 14:33

Not read 23.11.63

But I enjoyed Life after Life and The Secret Keeper.

I'm reading the Goldfinch next.

To answer your question The Secret Keeper.

BabeRuthless · 13/01/2014 16:21

Those are all amazing books. I'm slightly jealous of the fact you haven't read any of them yet! In short, you can't go wrong no matter which one you pick.

scarfaceace · 13/01/2014 16:40

I've only read the Stephen King one on your list, so can't compare, but I highly recommend it.

Francagoestohollywood · 13/01/2014 16:43

I really enjoyed Life after Life

Allalonenow · 13/01/2014 16:45

The Goldfinch, I'm reading ATM and really enjoying it.

MuttonCadet · 13/01/2014 21:41

You have convinced me to download the goldfinch, starting it tonight!

NoSnowJustSand · 14/01/2014 14:26

I adored The Secret Keeper so definitely read that one. I have Life After Life and the Goldfinch on my Kindle too. I've just finished Roger Rosenblatt's Making Toast, which I bought for some reason or another ages ago and only just got around to reading. Think I'd go with Life After Life.

Whiskwarrior · 14/01/2014 14:31

Have read The Secret Keeper (love Kate Morton books) and 23.11.63 (also love Stephen King).

Hard to choose because they're very different books. With both of them I was completely addicted and had to keep reading.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/01/2014 21:06

Gotta be King.

getyourshoesonNOW · 14/01/2014 22:18

Sounds like I really can't go wrong. Decision is....the Goldfinch

Have only read two of them, Life after Life and The Goldfinch, both brilliant in different ways. The Goldfinch takes a little while to get going but is a page turner from about 50 pages in. Life After Life is a little bit different (you're finding out what happens in the next life rather than what happens next) but I still found it hard to put down.

NoSnowJustSand · 17/01/2014 17:58

Just finished Life After Life this afternoon and I really enjoyed it. The pace of the book was quite quick and although it was sometimes to keep the story lines straight, I looked forward to seeing the next change in events.

Caitlin17 · 18/01/2014 23:10

Life after Life.

joanofarchitrave · 18/01/2014 23:14

Life after Life next!

FuckyNell · 18/01/2014 23:17
