Was reading a bit about Lydia Davis winning the Man booker prize this week. I'd quite like to look at some of her work. She sounds like a crazy old cat Grin

Forgive my ignorance but the article never actually mentioned what they awarded the prize for. So is it for a recent book or a body of work stretching back over a while?

It's the international prize - according to the BBC report: "The award recognises an author's continued creativity, development and overall contribution to literature, rather than a single work."

Haven't read her before - would like to now.

Thankyou hackmum, will have a look for some collected works. She sounds intriguing. Apparently has forged her own form.

Her short story " your eyeballs move when you're thinking, stop moving your eyeballs if you want to stop thinking" had made me chuckle all weekend.
