I've read this book today and it's amazing! I love it and want to recommend it to everyone. It's a graphic novel, but don't let this put you off (I didn't think they were my thing either before I discovered Posy Simmonds). This also started life as a column in The Guardian.

Anyone else read it and think it's brill? Can anyone recommend more books like this?

I loved it too, looked forward to it every week when it was in The Guardian. You might like Chris Ware, especially 'Jimmy Corrigan', though it is a bit bleak.
