DH has finally found me out!

DH offered to take some books to the charity shop for me as he was taking some stuff. "Yeah, you could probably take a couple that I can't shift on Amazon, I'll look them out for you", I said. He said "Surely most of the books on the bookshelves have been read?", me "Errm, no", disparaging look from DH, "What do you mean you are buying books at a faster rate than reading them?".

Feeling a lecture coming on at a later date as to why I keep buying books when I have about 40 unread titles on the shelves .

Ah - you should have said - "yes dear, of course they have but they are of such outstanding literary quality that I know I'll enjoy reading them again and again"
