WW and breastfeeding - would you recommend?

Hello,

I had quite a lot of success with WW last year and was hoping to return in the next month or so. I am hoping to breastfeed again.

I was just wondering if anyone would recommend it and if they had much success?

I suppose tracking what you eat and cutting down on sweet stuff is always going to be a better for you in the long run!

You get lots of extra points for BF (not sure exactly how many on the latest plan). It rewards healthy eating, which could be great for you and your baby. One of the women in the group I go to is BFing and losing really well.

That's good to hear - thank you.

Yes it's fab. You get lots of extra points. I am under goal.

A agree with the above - get so many points it barely feels like a diet!

How old is your baby? I did it when I was exclusively BFing (pre weaning) and got loads of extra points! I was amazed that I could eat so much and still lose weight. Just shows how much I must have been eating before Blush

Once I’d properly started weaning, the amount of extra points I got halved. I still lost weight though.

I did it whilst bfeeding for about 8/9 months, it was great! You get loads of points. I managed to lose about 1.5 stone during that time. I did find it very hard to stick to once I'd stopped bfeeding though, as you only get about half the amount of points! It worked well for me though.

I lost weight whilst breast feeding without being on WW. That for me, was one of the many plus points of breast feeding.

I am breastfeeding and doing WW ! I have lost a lot . It’s true you have lot of points ;)

Ny daughter is now 8 months and is eating 3 meals a day so i am not as Bf as normally . Should I say I am part BF so they reduce points ?
