Great ideas!!

You need a lie down!!!!

Toes are metallic green, chipped.

Girls are having so much fun at their pretend birthday party. Am genius type person for letting them do it.

JackBauer · 08/05/2010 17:12

Hah! Just realised I am also wearing purple crochet bracelet

bobbiewickham · 08/05/2010 17:15

Mine are rouge noir.

Chipped also.

I feel guilty. Have done nothing with my kids all day. Well, I took ds2 to Sainsbury's, which he loves

Apart from that, nowt. Crap mum today.

NomDePlume · 08/05/2010 17:22

same here bobbie. DD is playing with next door neighbour.

bobbiewickham · 08/05/2010 17:23

Glad it's not just me.

DS1 has been pretty solidly staring at a screen all day.

As have I.

NomDePlume · 08/05/2010 17:24

ds1 & 2 are out but i no longer feel guilty about not entertaining them as they are so big.

bobbiewickham · 08/05/2010 17:26

Mine are at the inbetween stage. 10 and nearly 12. So I feel like I should be doing something with them, but they entertain themselves, occasionally coming through to show me something/monologue at me/ask for food.

It's a weird stage.

NomDePlume · 08/05/2010 17:32

9/10 dd (7.5) entertains herself, she is pretty self sufficient. A good thing really as I'm not a very good 'getting involved mummy'

bobbiewickham · 08/05/2010 17:33

Me neither.

Shame. I was great when they were tiny.

I've got worse at this as they've got older

SuSylvester · 08/05/2010 17:38

yes i agree although ds3 is MUCH more interesting and multi facetted than others were who were just sport.
he got into bed this am and said "I am awesome at drawing armchairs"
arf

JackBauer · 08/05/2010 17:38

Ah bobs, it has been awesome, haven't had to do much of anything, no cooking, no washing up as all food was on paper plates, excellent, and they are playing really nicely.

Normally I feel like a crap mum with tv on all the time so am taking this one day of ubermumness.

Although they are now playing 'stamp on your head'

bobbiewickham · 08/05/2010 17:42

Am lucky, neither of mine do sport.

DS1 is a film/books/sci fi/computer nut.

DS2 is a one off. Plays the euphonium and piano, very into cleaning products and personal grooming, reads like a demon and is suddenly into politics. Insisted on watching the televised debates and chortles his way through Have I Got News for You. Have caught him watching Question Time on Sky plus before now.

He does like normal stuff too...

I like smug mum days, Jack. I dine out on them for weeks. Your day sounds brilliant.

Lol at "stamp on your head". Mine are great at that.

JackBauer · 08/05/2010 17:46

Mine are only weeny though, 2 and 4, I thinka lot younger than all of yours, no?

bobbiewickham · 08/05/2010 17:51

Oh, yours are at a lovely age.

NomDePlume · 08/05/2010 17:58

DS1 is 18 in a couple of weeks. He likes drinking and girls

DS2 is 16.5, he like Newsnight, girls and his xbox/laptop/mobile

DD is 7.5 and pretty much loves everything especially nature progs on telly (esp if they are about sharks).

I remember the days of Stamp On Your Head. DS1 & 2 were masters at it. Little blighters.

NomDePlume · 08/05/2010 17:59

DS2 loves Question Time too, Bobbie. Strange creatures.

JackBauer · 08/05/2010 18:06

Gosh, are mine the youngest 9apart from those knocked up of course)
How old are your kids then? Spill.

NomDePlume · 08/05/2010 18:38

dinkystinky's are tiddlers, younger than your IIRC Jack.

DukesOfTripHazard · 08/05/2010 18:39

5 and a quarter inch wrists
8 inch ankles
15 inch knees.
toenails nice mulberry. Chips not in polish but in stomach

Jack you sure are a disappearin'.

Bobbie your ds2 sounds a bit like Ted, the youngest one in The Life of Riley sitcom with Caroline Quentin.

DukesOfTripHazard · 08/05/2010 18:41

Me, 2 girls eight and 5.

I AM PUTTING PIC UP. Pre diet. Jowly.

JackBauer · 08/05/2010 18:41

Oh yes, If it turn sideways I disappear

NomDePlume · 08/05/2010 18:48

Jowly ? Dukes you don't look pre diet or jowly.

bobbiewickham · 08/05/2010 18:49

Coo, dukes, you're lovely.

NomDePlume · 08/05/2010 18:50

OMG I have just found the worst picture of me. I must've been hugely drunk when it was taken. Pulling stupid faces with mate

cyb · 08/05/2010 18:51

you are not jowly woman! LOVING the washing on the airer in the background!
