Can I still come to Slimming World while breastfeeding?

A: Once your baby is 6 weeks old and you've had your post-natal check-up, you are welcome to return to your group, but we ask you to check first with your midwife or doctor. Your body needs extra energy and calcium while you are breastfeeding and we recommend you increase your Healthy Extra choices. Your Consultant will be able to show you the recommendations and booklet in your group.

this was the answer on the SW website - check your old manual - if nothing in there you could always try ringing your old consultant - she may take pity & tell you

I have a copy of the pregnancy and breastfeeding guidelines for slimming world that a friend gave me.
It basically says that you should discuss the latest dietary requirement with you doctor or midwife but otherwise to follow the plan in the main book, ( red days or green days) and to eat additional healthy extras. The number of healthy extras depends on the age of your baby. 1-2 mnths = 3 extra HEs, 2-3mnths= 4 extra HEs, 4-6mnths (if weaning)= 3 extra HEs, 4-6mnths (if only BF)= 4 extra HEs, 6mnth+= 1 extra HE when weaning. At least one and preferably two of you additional HEs should be dairy options to ensure you're getting enough calcium. You should also have your full 15 syns each day.
Good luck if you decide to stick to it, my dd is two months and I really haven't tried very hard yet but am feeling the need to at least begin to get back into shape.
