Sticky Out Tummy - What Not to Eat?

Hi

I posted on the Style and Beauty thread re tummy flattner pants for a size 16.

I'd also like to make a few dietry changes to help myself along - my do is in 2 weeks and my dress is lovely but my sticky out tummy ain't. Don't fancy starving myself though.

Anyone know which foods are best avoided to beat the bloat and achieve a slightly less (albeit temporary) sticky out tum?

Basically, all the nice ones - no bread, pasta, cake, etc - pretty much everything with wheat in it is likely to make you bloat a bit. Drink plenty of water (really, plenty!) and you should find things flushed out and you'll want to eat less too.

I think chocolate is ok though!

so, no wheat and obv no booze, a detox basically. What about coffee?

Can I trim it down in 2 weeks do we think?
or should I just forget it and hope for the best with the shapewear?

Agree wheat is def to be avoided - it really bloats you up, and for some people dairy can cause bloating too! Good luck - its only two weeks (says she who's only got ten days and is trying to avoid a binge day!)

Def red wine for me. I can put on 3 pounds over night after half a bottle.

Slight hijack..but if you were going to get some 'shapewear', what would you get and where from.I need something that makes me thinner from ribs to top of thighs.Does such an item exist?

you need Spanx higherpower.. They are fantastic

Thanks.Off into London tomorrow so will go and get some magic pants then go dress shopping.

ChrisMissWooWoo · 09/12/2009 16:42

fucking terrible day

no bread eaten and no booze but made up for it by eating 2 bars of chocolate and a (small) bottle of coke.

Arrrgggggh.

in my defence dd was up for 2 hrs in the night and I am knackered.

am changing D-day to tomorrow which gives me exactly 10 days .... that'll be enough time and am definately going to have to wear some magic pants

Me too. There is an open box of Roses in the house and is proving too hard to resist.

dd up again last night for an hour and a half ... had porridge for breakfast but now dreaming of biscuits.

might go and put the dress on and note mileage of tummy forging ahead as incentive
