Have a holiday booked in 4 weeks and am surrounded by middle age spread~thanks to the mirena [and lots of cake]
Desperate to shift it and eat healthily as the years advance lol.
Started on friday at 12 stones and have already lost a few pounds as was so shocked to find out my weight when I bought some new scales.More than at full term with my pregnancies oops!

Please come and keep me company along the wayx

oh boy, dont ask!

but as you have ..
well, on the food front, things aren't too bad. but i'm not getting excercise in.
I think thats what i really have to do, to burn off the muffin top.

i think its a mixture of lack of time and laziness. probably more laziness.

i think i will have to get some recent photos out to remind me of why i want to lose the access pounds.

but my weight is staying constant (at least the weight isnt going back on)

but well done to you, virtual pat on the back!!

but doenst that mean you've lost half a stone in a week? how did you do it?

was 11 st 5 this am lol must be mainly fluid I've lost so far though~need to stick at it

fell off the wagon slightly last night with quiche~first had an eighth with salads,then another 1/8,then nibbled more late evening aarrgghh

kcals of small quiche lorraine M&S is 1060 and i had a half in the end lol.

However have decided to up my cals a bit as I had a serious shopping trip with my teenage daughter yesterday and felt quite weak after miles of walking in the rain!

mmm quiche.

i have stopped all home baking and pastry making. because of the cakes, biscuits and pastries i made were not helping. including massive quiches!!

there was a recipe on another thread for quiche without pastry, i'll see if i can find it and post it here.

where are you going for your holiday?

no weight change today but still healthy eating and did 20 lengths of the pool so pleased with that

have bought stuff in tesco such as berry mix,cashew nuts,ryvita fruit and seeds so at least am off the welsh cakes lol
also no bread and no spread
skimmed milk
am on about8 to 10 fruit/veg per day

am a bit at what I was eating before!!

wow, you are doing so well!

i walked so much over the last few days.
and eating senisibly, no snacking.

weighed myself this morning and still bloody 11st 7lbs!! arggh

8 to 10 fruit and veg is good. and cutting down on bread worked for me (at first anyway!)

by the sounds of it, you'll acheive your goal and look fab in Brittany!

I can't expect to lose all the weight as quickly as the first half stone,will have to stick at it

and it's not just about weight,it's also about health and fitness

so,heard the old one about muscle weighing more than fat?!?

Not a good week for me last week just lost my determination and focus - ate loads!

Anyway new week, new attitude, I have to shift the pounds! I am off to Brittany on Saturday! I am going to really try and eat healthily will on holiday - I just want to be able to wear most of the clothes in my wardrobe, all so uncomfortable!

McDreamy ~don't worry you've still got 6 days to go.

My weight today is 11st 7lb ~gone up!!
I've eaten healthily but maybe too much nibbling on the fruit and cashew nuts lol

BUT my tummy is better and I can wear my clothes better ~so join me for a blast for the rest of the week.

We go to Brittany in 2 weeks and I want to lose a bit more ~but I get so bored.

Am going to log food on food focus today and keep it to about 800 ~ 1000cals.

11st5lb I think

~scales are mechanical and I am short sighted but looks like about 72kg
so yesterday was just a fluid retention blip hopefully.

am doing well with the seeded ryvitas and toppings but might make some soup today

was surprisedto see a M&S chicken drumstick only 85cal,didn't have one yet though

the cashew nuts are finished thank God not the lowest cal snack lol

nomorecake and McDreamy hows things with you two?

no weight change today though feel a bit thinner re jeans.
Have made veg soup for tea~hardly any cals in it lol.
looks as if I have to get down to about 10st 7lb to have BMI of 24.5.
Ideally am going to get down to 9st 7lb though

argh!! still the same bloody weight!!

btw oh baby, 800-1000 cals may be too low, especially if you are very active.

dont want you to get ill or anything!

if you lose it too quickly, you may end up putting it all back on very quickly?

oh and my flab definately outweighs my muscle!

Feel a lot thinner even tho still quite overweight!
those tops[basic t shirt] I got in Next which were tight are now loose ~funny I had thought there was something wrong with their sizing system lol!

Hi can I join.

I have a wedding on 15th Aug and would love to lose even half a stone by then.

I need to lose 2 stone. I am 13st 8lb and want to be 11.5st. I am 5'8".

Yesterday I had porridge made with milk and water
Smoothie
Couple slices pizza for lunch (oops- cos the dc's were having it)
Chicken, mushroom, pepper stir fry with brown rice for tea.

My aims are to drink more water, eat more fruit and try to eat breakfast.

Today I have had nothing so far.
Am going to have a bowl of porridge and some fruit.

I also need to motivate myself to go for a run tonight. Can't really do much exercise in the day as my dc's are too small. Might try to do some sit ups etc
Anyone want top join me in doing 100 sit ups a day- say 4 lots of 25?

nomorecake~I had no progress on scales for several days then today it is down,haven't done anything any differently,it just doesn't always show straight away.

Also keeping to the cals means we won't put what we have already lost back on.

thatsnotmymonster~welcomehalf a stone makes a big change I think.

I am making soup today~courgette and onion from the garden and a tin of tomatoes.Soup is good becos you can have lots of it lol.

Got some new crackers from M & S yesterday in the "eat well" range,and some cottage cheese[a bit gungey]and cold meats.

Still off bread and spread#was my biggest problem lol.

If you tell me how to do sit ups,I'll do them!

I have stopped eating the same evening meal as everyone else~another problem,I am having a plate of meat,salad,cracker,etc instead.

ohbaby- the sit ups- well I just lie down with knees bent and feet slightly apart, keep my hands flat on the ground by my sides and try to lift my head and body up/forward as far as I can (not very far) so more like mini stomach crunches.
However I haven't done any so far!

My biggest problem is nibbling the children's food (usually because I am quite hungry- esp at their tea time).

I am really looking forward to the wedding- I have a dress that I bought for a wedding last year but it needs taking in around the bust (I had just given birth).

The soup sounds lovely, yum. I made lentil and veg soup yesterday but only made a small amount, had one bowl but keeping rest for my baby girl.

Oh and I didn't go for a run either! I am not going to weigh myself every day because my weight fluctuates massively so it would just depress me. I think once a week should be fine.

was struggling last night~really wanted some toast lol ended up having quite a few crackers!

the soup was nice think will make some more.

Lentil and vegetable sounds nice,hope your dd enjoyed it.

I remember its not easy trying to exercise with babies~you don't get the time at all,sympathies.

Have been on holiday ~ first went really thin but felt a bit weak cos of all the swimming etc,then started to eat more so now am...

11 stone exactly ... which is not bad but want to lose at least another half a stone.

I look quite thin though .

oh baby well done on ur weightloss id love to get down to 11 stone again. at the moment im trying magnaslim probably the biggest con ever but anythings worth a go lol and tomoro im starting SW. Im now at my heaviest at 13 stone due to having my son so 2 stone to lose scary thought but im keeping my fingers crossed for some sort of changes
