I have one of these in my garage. I actually loved using it but my knees got gradually more and more painful. The doctor said that this machine is one of the worst for knee joints and that I should stop using. My knees are now getting gradually better and I will use it again when they aren't painful any more. The best of luck with yours, hope you don't have the same problem as me as these machines are really good.

Oh dear, sorry to hear about your knee problems with it. Did you have a problem with your knees to begin with/in the past? or was it due to the cross trainer?

My knees are fine, it's my back that i sometimes have problems with..but hopefully by shifting a bit of weight those problems might disappear.

To be honest, I think it is to do with my weight myself, at the moment I do fast walking instead which seems to be giving my knees a chance to rest whilst also giving me a chanced to lose weight. I think (hope), like you, that once some of the weight has gone my knee pain will stop and I will use the cross trainer again. Like I say, they are really good so I do want to get back on it.
