Slow weight loss on Wegovy with type 1 diabetes despite eating less and exercising

What am I doing wrong? 6 weeks on 0.25mg Wegovy - have had it prescribed by my specialist for insulin resistance and help with weight loss, not gone up a dosage yet because they want me to settle into it. My insulin dosages have gone down quite a bit due to eating a lot less. My appetite has gone down and I’m no longer snacking, I used to grab stuff like cheese or biscuits and chocolates or gey McDonald’s at least once a week but all of that has gone now! Drinking wine once a week and only 2 or 3 glasses. Cook mostly from scratch, maybe a takeaway twice a month usually Korean food.
Have been walking over 10k steps a day and going to a HIIT class or weights class 2-3 times a week. Before I’d barely do 2k steps and sit on my arse all day.

I have lost a measly 2kg. Thats IT. I feel so disheartened.
Whilst I feel fitter and can walk for longer without getting out of puff, I carry a lot of my weight on the front of my stomach thanks to a c section 2 years ago and am seeing no difference in my face or clothes yet. what else should I be doing? Is this normal, am I likely to see slower progress due to my diabetes?

2kg isn’t measly. It’s a bit less than the 1 to 2 lbs a week that you might expect. If you keep losing 2kg every 6 weeks then very soon you will have lost a decent chunk of weight. I don’t know how the T1 diabetes might affect weight loss, it may well be that it means weight is harder to lose. I would see if you can ask that of your specialist as they may know the answer to that.

You aren’t doing anything wrong at all. You’re losing weight and getting fitter which is great. You will likely continue to lose weight, which is the benefit of GLP1s - they help with long term consistent weight loss.

Have you counted your calories and compared them to your TDEE?

You’re on a very low starter dose so I wouldn’t expect to lose much weight at this stage.

Why didn’t they let you increase your dose after 4 weeks as that’s the normal pattern and recommended by the manufacturers. I’d go back and ask to increase your dose.

It is working, well done.

A couple of weeks to get used to the stuff, then a pound a week lost. This time next year you will be 24kg down.
