a question - can you eat Quorn when doing Induction?

And...what about wine?

Hello!

No alcohol during induction, I'm afraid

Once you're out of induction you can have wine, to the best of my (hazy) recollection, white is less carby than red, but bear in mind that the body burns alcohol before it burns fat so if you have more than a glass or so you won't lose weight (although it's doubtful you'll gain). It can make some people retain water too, and if definitely dehydrate you so you'll have to up your water consumption.

Having said all that, I drank whilst doing Atkins (mainly gin & slimline tonic with the odd glass of wine) and it didn't affect me unduly - everyone's different.

As for Quorn, the mince is quite carby at 4.5g per 100g, so I don't think it's a good idea for induction (and it's pretty vile compared with real mince imho!). If you need a vegetarian alternative, firm tofu is only 1.9g per 100g.

Good luck on your induction
