Going solo after Mounjaro

Hi - I lost 3 stone 11lb on Mounjaro but I've had to come off it because of the cost.

I've not put any back on until this last fortnight (holiday abroad for a week over Xmas then meals out etc) where I've gained 4lb.

I still want another couple of stone off but know I'll struggle alone!

Evening meals are fine - I just have a smaller portion of our family meal with a huge portion of veg or salad.

I struggle with work breakfast and lunch though.

Anyone else going solo?

Yes I'm going to start Slimming World. I have debated for many months over buying Mounjaro but I am in considerable debt and want to pay as much of that off as possible this year. So not the same situation as you exactly, but going solo without wli. I'm not going to go to SW group though as I find it quite cliquey (the one I went to in the summer). I've signed up for four classes at the gym next week as well.

Slimming World skewed my idea of healthy eating - I swear their idea of unlimited pasta being fine wrecked my sense of portion control!

I went to a few classes - cringed every time they said syn or body magic 🤣

I'll be going alone soon but have been titrating down for weeks now, I find eating the same thing at the same time every day helps, as boring as possible 😂
So yogurt bowl for breakfast and lunch, with lots of fruit. Do you struggle because it's a snacky workplace? If so I would make sure I had supplies of my favourite fruit on hand so I wasn't dipping in the biscuit tin/cake box.
Also it maybe that you are putting on water weight, I take turmeric to try to counteract this. Helps with inflammation.

Frenzie yes, I do work in a snacky office . I'm in and out between classes to grab stuff and there's always tempting treats at the door. I need to gather some willpower before I go back as snacking makes me sluggish.

Turmeric is a good one. I'm already taking half of Nutrition Geeks offerings (well, I'm not - i bought stuff but don't take it consistently, just bought a pill box to try to remind myself!)

Good tip ref turmeric, I've got capsules for my arthritis and keep forgetting to take it. Have put them next to the kettle so I have no excuse now.

I take the nutrition geeks turmeric with black pepper too, I think it helps, and I don't drink alcohol at all, as it bloats me terribly, it's made for a bit of a boring Christmas, but I am maintaining /losing so....
