There's an offer on atm£10 for 10 months. Is it worth it or is it better to calorie count?

I don't know about WW, but DD2 has been using Slimming World very successfully. She's lost 10kg in the last 4 months, with breaks for a holiday and a Friday treat, etc.

Thanks I will look into it!

I'd just calorie count. It's basically the same thing but freer.

DId WW Years ago with less success
Good luck OP whatever way you choose to go ☺ x

I go to WW but I use a calorie counting app instead of their diet.

WW is now a wellbeing club, rather than focusing on just weight loss, so the talks are not weight loss related. So the groups talks are different every week so one session will be talking about protein, how it helps the body, where to find protein etc. next week the same with Fibre, Salt and so on.

the reason why I don’t follow the diet is because they make stuff very highly pointed if they see it as having low nutrient value, but I prefer to eat what I want if it’s in with my calorie limit.

but I like the groups, I like to weigh in front of a leader etc so that’s why I have a WW membership

If you can do it without a slimming club, do it. Slimming clubs rely on people losing weight while they are members dropping off the plan when they leave, then rejoining. If you must calorie count do it yourself rather than going down the ā€˜points’ and (even worse) ā€˜syns’ road

I thought there were no more groups now. I thought it was entirely online? SW doesn’t make sense to me. U limited amounts of carbs and the nutrient value of their suggested foods is often very low. I am insulin resistant so it just wouldn’t work for me.

After Covid they never reopened a lot of their groups. There are 3 groups in my area (all same leader)

some areas don’t have any groups

I have just upgraded to the menopause programme which im finding is no different to the original programme yet im spending double the money and so far my progress is extremely slow. Down 6kg in about 8 to 10months. If you can download myfitnesspal its a much better app to use, also has a lot more freedoms, it also has a community for support if you need that. Im thinking of cancelling ww and moving back over to myfitnesspal as I had much better progress and alot faster before joining ww.
