I have had a bleh couple of years and have been ill and inactive and also on meds that made me gain weight. I have decided to become vegetarian as my cholesterol is sky high. Anyone have any insight into how I can lose weight as a vegetarian? My metabolism is already shot.

Sorry to hear you've had not so good few years. Fish is good to lower cholesteral.

I think losing weight is no easier or harder as a vegetarian but my approach is always to eat as many vegetables as possible with plenty of beans, lentils and chickpeas and to use things like feta cheese as a way to add a hit of flavour for not many extra calories. I try to keep carbs quite low and fibre high.

Also sorry you’ve been having a rubbish time!
