have always struggeld with my weight/eating, i am greeedy and eat all the wrong this at the wrong times.
im 31 an weigh 16st 9lb...i have tried and treid and i find it sooo hard to lose weight, even at slimming world, when i ahve been succesful, it gradually peters off and i stick, then i lput on, then i leave, then it all goes back on.

so after fam planning clinic told me they wouldnt give me pill in 4 years if im still this weight and gp surgery wont give me pill NOW..i have asked for this.

I know i need to change the way/things/times i eat as well as this is meant to be an appetite surpressant, so have any of you been / are on it?, are you doing well on it?(my mum hardly lost anything, but i wonder if she changed her eating habits at all)

took one as i came out this morn and feel a little dizzy?, is this normal when you first sart taking them??

Any experience or advice appreciated, thanks

My mum has taken these and so has my best friend. My friend lost 2stone on them and said they did supress her appetite. My mum didn't rate them much but then my mum is on HRT for the menopause and is finding losing weight a really struggle and the hormone patches haven't helped so she couldn't really judge the tablets iyswim?

What my mum has started doing - on my advice - is get off the bus earlier and walk the rest of the way into work. I even bought her trendy trainers to encourage her and she's finding that this has made more difference - toned her up and improved her mood etc

Hope this helps?

I'd love to have these, if they're speedy-type amphetamines. You'll get so much done! I'm v jealous.

PinkChick · 04/06/2008 09:09

LOL Beautiful..i cant find were it says that but DO think there is some in somewere!!!

PIJC, my mum didnt rate them either? and as im a childminder i walk EVERYWERE anyway, can never get buses with my gang so think im fairly fit that way, now need to step up the pace when i have just buggy(esp double buggy!, when slimming last time the weight fell off with 2 x 2yr olds in double buggy powere walking everywere!

Off to group this morn, so will try and pick up pace...have just had plain egg omlette for brekkie and am v.full..bets get my trainers on and its warm today so hopefully ill swet it off too

I actually googled your pills! They work by flooding your brain with serotonin and noradrenaline (the speedty bit) to make you feel full longer.

SO jealous! You need a BMI of 30+ to get these from Doctor... I'm tempted to really pig out to make myself qualify!

PinkChick · 04/06/2008 14:10

LOL at "you need a bmi of 30+"..like thats a good thing LOL...so they is a pinch of amphetamine in them then????

Strange possible side effect today, walked to playgroup and was very hot so i was sweating a bit(plus i was trying to power walk) and when i got there i was a bit wiffy under arm...am NEVER wiffy underarm????????but have also used a new soap in bath last night from lush, maybe it wasnt any good(although i didnt smell before hand, so shouldnt smell now??)..just got in and had wash, cahnged top and put deoderant on??...maybe im just a sweaty betty today??dunno??

Pink - I think the fact they suppressed her appetite, stopped her picking at junk so she wasn't snacking like she was before..so ended up eating healthy I suppose...mind you, she was a big girl to start with (over 20st) so the bigger you are, the more dramatic the weight loss when you start something so I'm not sure how it would have panned out long term as she came off them - not sure why

PinkChick · 04/06/2008 21:33

i think they will onlt precribe them for a year in normal circs??..i weigh less than that but only by few stone....just wondering if less of portion will mean loss???..i am eating better as well, but i only feel as if im on proper diet if im on SW??...how's your excerising going???

PinkChick,
How are things going?

I have just been prescribed reductil, and have just had my first fortnight.

I feel incredible, no snacks or rubbish, and amazingly energetic!!!

My (non-existent) libido has also got a jump-start.

Regardless of weight, I never want to stop these
