Has anyone revised their goal upwards?

Over the last year I have lost 4.5stone which has taken me to 12stone. I am 5ft 6". I was originally aiming for a goal of 10stone which would be a mid-range BMI. But now I am wondering if that is too low. I have been at that weight before, and I did look a bit gaunt. I was wondering about 11stone, but that's basically top end of BMI. I lost weight for health rather than vanity, and was wondering whether it really matters that much if my BMI is 25 or 23.5. My thinking is to hold steady at a BMI of 25ish, and really concentrate on my fitness and strength going forward.

Has anyone else had this debate with themselves?

It's a range for a reason - some people will be healthier, feeling and looking better at the bottom end while some are far better at the top and others in the middle. It depends on frame, muscle mass, where you carry weight, body shape etc.

Good point about it being a range! Not sure why I didn't think of that...

I have lost my meno stomach which is really good news, as I did carry a lot of weight around my middle, which really worried me in terms of health.

I stopped at 11st12, I am still technically a full stone above my bmi of 25. I don’t care I feel happy and healthy at this weight, going lower was starting to feel like a push my body would fight. I’ve been off mounjaro 6 weeks and my weight has gently hovered around the same point so I’m happy I’ve made the right choice.

@Pashazade- I think we might be in the same boat. Well done on coming off Mounjaro, I have that to come.

I am same height as you and this is my comfy range.

I cannot get to 10st as I have to eat too little to get there and it’s impossible to sustain. I got to 10st 2 at one point but my weight wants to be 10st 7 now.

I have decided I don’t want to be skinny, I want to look like I could hold my own in a fight (not that I ever would fight someone) so I do a lot of strength training. I can easily get into a size 10/small most of the time but I have defined muscle and my strength and endurance is much improved. Weight for me now will be difficult to define in terms of size comparison as I focus on muscle, it’s not necessarily body fat (which is what I want to reduce for health reasons)
