Tempted to sign up but can’t see that much detail - I don’t have a lot of time to exercise, are there shorter lengths like 10-15 min sessions on there?

Take a look at his YouTube and see if they fit your lifestyle?

josephineSW · 01/09/2025 11:06

Yes have used those and they’re great
but wondered what the app offers?

I signed up for a year, paid 49.99 with nhs discount, did it for approx 3 months then started mounjaro. The app has meal ideas and you can log your measurements etc, it has programmes such as beginner, intermediate, kettlebell etc the beginner is staged so every few weeks they get more difficult with duration and moves. They do have varying length sessions, maybe from 15 mins but it was a lot of mat work and they are tough, especially if you haven't exercised for months, fitting it in with full time working and a 2-3hr daily commute was exhausting. I did lose 1kg in 5 weeks doing it and I was on a calorie deficit and working out 5 times a week.
I was prediabetic and perimenopausal so it would've been tougher for me to lose than someone who isn't.
I have since lost 3st 5lbs on mounjaro now bmi 24.1 and last week started following two females youtube channels doing HIIT and pilates toning videos, they do various length sessions and mostly standing, which is better for me starting off from no exercise for 10.5 months, but more importantly tailored for women. I follow Growwithjo and Lucy Wyndham-Reed and did 4 sessions last week, all free on youtube, many different durations from 5 mins to 40 mins.

I've just edited my first post with more info on the app. If you are already doing his videos and enjoy them then go for it. I didn't use the meal planner and recipes because i didnt eat meat back then and it doesn't have anywhere to log food or calorie intake etc
It does have more videos and options for exercise plans, including yoga and live exercise sessions too but they're usually around 6pm when I was commuting home. My subscription literally ended on 25th august or I could've screenshot some images for you!
To be honest I'm not going to restart, I don't think I'm fit enough time do all the mat work and I prefer the sessions done by women especially at my age, maybe if I was in my 20st or 30s and I was more flexible then I'd do it but I'm 43 and found it hard on my knees etc I prefer the standing glute and abs exercises that I do now and they are effective as my body is toning up. Ask any questions you need to and I'll try to answer from memory

Just edited my second post after you replied lol its a lot cheaper than WLI, I did consider signing up again and was very close to renewing but I'm just not at that stage in my fitness yet, maybe in the future I will. What I used to do was send the app to my TV so I could follow them on the big screen rather via my phone, so it does let you do that via a phone app.

The connecting to my tv is tempting! I’ll check if mine supports that

It's on my Samsung android phone called smart view and I link it to my roku but if you have a smart TV or other phone or gadgets like chrome etc then it should also work
