Reposting as I think I posted at a quiet time last night.
My weight has always been pretty stable, only fluctuating by around 4lb.
I recently went on a work trip for 5 days where food was all inclusive and there was a lot of sitting around. Because I was so busy, I didn't drink a lot of water either. When I'm away from home, going to the bathroom is something that doesn't happen as often, it's like my body knows I am away from home. I have come back from this trip around 9lb heavier. Not sure how this has happened as after xmas and family holidays, I am usually only about 4lb heavier. Even by the 3rd day, I noticed my jacket was noticably tighter. My face and body looks and feels a lot more bloated.
I am currently in my luteal phase (the phase that comes after ovulation and before my period) and do usually struggle with this phase. I find I get very hungry and hold more water. I also get bad period pains. My last period came early so I didn't have a luteal phase and it wasn't as painful either. Could I be struggling more in this cycle as it's saved up from my last one, so to speak?
Has this happened to anyone?
How much of this is fat gain?
Is there anything else that could be causing this?
When can I expect to be back to normal once habits return?
