I cannot beleive how much I have lost

Although I had a bad couple of days last weekend, I have weight myself this morning to discover that this week I have lost

10 pounds

Before I start getting messages of concern, I have not starved myself in the slightest, its impossible for me to do so as I adore my food, but, I have been eating lots of salad and fresh veg etc and drinking copious amounts of water.

This is alot, but, I do have 10st 8lb to lose, my doctor is not concerned as she knows I am being careful and doing more walking than usual, but she says she doesn't want me losing more than 2lb a week in a couple of months time.

Just wanted to share my news with everyone as no-one else is awake yet .

PS. I'm following weightwatchers points.

Yes champs you were all right. I am having my favourite meal tonight, and the best thing is, it is on 2.5 points for a MASSIVE pot full and those points are only for the chicken. If there was no chicken in I would only have to point for the pasta.

Wow, wow, wow, brilliant!!!

BubblesDeVere · 16/01/2005 16:33

Thanks demented, I'd be lying if I said it were easy though, saying that I think the first couple of weeks on any diet or healthy eating plan is always the hardest, only thing is, I am drinking loads of water now and having the get up once or twice during the night to pee and I have done that since I was pg with dd2.

Bubbles I am SO SO SO SO PLEASED FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

stick with it love. i lost 28lbs last time on weightwatchers then put it all back on plus some I am determined this time to get it ALL off and keep it off, like you !

BubblesDeVere · 17/01/2005 09:44

Thanks FFF, I know I haven't lost that much in the scale of things and have alot to go, but, I am starting to feel better about myself, I have started taking pride in my appearance, I have bought some touche eclat, clarins flash balm etc.

I must admit, today is going to be a hard day, I feel like eating everything I shouldn't, but know Dad wouldn't have wanted that as he was always worried about my weight. But, I am going to try my hardest to stick to plan today.

OMG Bubbles, that is just wonderful! Well done

WigWamBam · 17/01/2005 10:02

Bubbles, you say you haven't lost much in the scheme of things, but 10lb is still 10lb - go and weigh ten pounds in potatoes or books, put it in a bag and lift it. It's a lot! It's a fantastic start and you should be proud of yourself.

BubblesDeVere · 17/01/2005 14:32

Never thought of it like that WWB

Evesmama · 21/01/2005 10:51

how have you been this week bubbles?
just wanted to say..you're weight loss was fantastic, but dont be dissapointed if its one or two pound at your next weigh in as this is likley and a healthy amout to lose regulary...your doing great and am glad you feel good in yourself

SecondhandRose · 22/01/2005 09:08

Hi Bubbles, I'm celebrating too, I've lost 8.5lb since the beginning of December (and didn't put on over Christmas or during a two week holiday).

I have decided on a scientific approach, my body is a machine that needs food to make it work. When I put too much fatty food into my body it can't work properly and throws the food on the outside of my body where it sits as fat. It may sound silly but it's working for me at the moment.

Well Done!

BubblesDeVere · 22/01/2005 09:15

Hiya Evesmama, thank you for asking.

This week I have lost 3lb, making it nearly a stone in two weeks. I am quite surprised at this as it is totm and I have been know to gain 7lb.

PuffTheMagicDragon · 22/01/2005 20:27

You're doing really well Bubbles .

Evesmama · 22/01/2005 20:32

well done hunny..you are fabulous, me and dp were talking about it earlier and 13lb in 2 weeks is a hell of a start!, keep it up..just remember 1,2,3 pounds a week is normal/healthy...your doing great..an inspiration to us all

BubblesDeVere · 23/01/2005 08:45

Thank you all for your messages.

It is hard work, but I am getting into the swing of things now, I had a stir-fry last night and really really enjoyed it, so may be eating more of those in the future.

I'm finding WeightWatchers Full Choice quite easy at the minute, but when points go down its amazing what a difference 1 point less a week can make lol.

You are amazing, girl. Good on you!

BubblesDeVere · 23/01/2005 08:59

Thanks HMB.

I can't beleive the difference I feel just from eating healthier, cutting out chocolate and alchohol and taking an Actimel every day. I have alot more energy, and though I still find it difficult getting to sleep on a night I sleep soooooooo much better. Just don't get enough

I've been having a stir fry and putting a piece of salmon in after about 10 minutes of frying the veg. I've bought a lovely Teriyaki sauce too it was in a sachet from Tesco I think and it has zero fat but is really tasty.
