WeightWatchers question

Joined WW last week. Weighed again today and have lost half a pound.

I've been so so good. I've even been cooking lovely recipes from WW cookery books. Half a blimmin pound?!

I know it's only been a week, but is this really going to work? I was very impressed with the recipes. Are they perhaps more calorific than I thought? I'm sure I did everything right . WW leader said encouraging things and to stick with it. I'll be 96 by the time I've lost the weight at half a pound a week

well done you!

any loss is great

different things will affect your rate of weight loss

are you drinking enough water

sometimes where you are in your cycle can change it too

keep up the good work

SmugColditz · 13/05/2008 19:26

yes it really really really is going to work. Keep going. Track every single bite and don't forget that the recipes are often for 2 people!

My first week I lost 5lb - next week 1/2 a pound, but it does come off. Keep going.

bruhaha · 13/05/2008 19:27

i went to ww tonight as well and stayed the same - i've only lost 4lbs is 5 weeks

are you doing any exercise? if you are you have to count the points. My leader said i'm not eating enough because i'm going to gym 3 times week.

I did ww about 3 years ago and lost 2.5 stone - it really does work - are you writing everything down that you are eating? and weighing you food?

TsarChasm · 13/05/2008 19:35

Aw you are kind thankyou for replies .
Colditz I have just read your thread. Well done you! You are inspiring me to keep going.

Gawd knows re the cycle I'm all over the place with it so it could be that. WW leader said the same thing.

I just felt a bit flat about it I guess. I thought I might have managed a pound. I am trying to exercise more but tricky to fit it in as regularly as I'd like.

I am so impressed with the recipes though. The whole family are happily eating them and I don't feel deprived eating a lettuce leaf in the corner.

Come to think of it, I didn't actually write anything down, but I followed the food allowed exactly. I'm going to start writing things down. That might help.
