I have been loosing weight since August 2023. Have lost four stone and am about 3 pounds away from my goal weight. But am having a problem.

first thing to note is I have a bad gallbladder, so I have stones which mean I have to be very careful in terms of the food I eat. Mostly now I am eating under 2% fat for everything. Which has helped my weight loss massively. But now I am struggling.

Two of the foods I can eat are baked beans and one specific can of soup. I don’t eat them often but save them for times I need something quick or I have not had time to pre make my food. Also handy if I go to someone’s house.

Anyway. The days after eating these my weight goes up. I know this is probably the salt and water retention. But it is stalling my weight loss massively

As my gallbladder is getting worse I am relying on these more and more for something to eat.

My question is ( thankyou for reading this far ) will the weight eventually go down. I am very vigilant about my calories and count everything so it’s not becuase I am eating too much I weigh everything.
I feel like the weight is just going to keep going up and up the more I have to eat these foods. Should I just keep going and eventually the scales will shift?

If it’s just backed beans and tinned soups then I would eliminate them from your diet and substitute them for something else?

Take your body measurements with a tape measure and track changes to those instead of being fixated on the scales. It stands to reason that you'll weigh more when you've eaten. Drink more water. Your body retains water when it isn't getting enough.

@Peclet as per my post. I don’t have the option to eat something else until they take the gallbladder out.
@Needtosoundoffandbreathe i get a ton of water. I have low blood pressure and the only way to stop my from fainting is drink lots of water. I also go to the gym most days so always make sure I am hydrated.
