I had an imprumptue visit to the pub at lunch and had a tom and mozerella salad. Any ideas how many points the mozerella was? It was two chunks slightly bigger than golf balls.

Please tell me I wasn't really naughty!!!

Mozzerella is 3 points per 40g - so I guess 6 points?

BigHotMama · 06/05/2008 16:43

Good guess Bellie! Just checked my eating out guide and it says 6.5 points so not too bad.

Bellie · 06/05/2008 16:46

Wow - nice to have the guessing checked every so often!! 6.5 is pretty good if that is your lunch. I still struggle without any carbs at lunchtime though.

sweetheart · 06/05/2008 18:33

I think 6.5 is high for a lunch time meal! My lunch is uaully around 3 points.

Good job I have a ww ready meal for tea tonight!

what do you usually do for 3 points sweetheart. I really struggle with lunches tbh

BigHotMama · 07/05/2008 16:39

I have a low lunch too as prefer to have bigger portion for my tea.

Egg on 1 wholemeal toast (3.5)
Tuna in a pitta (4)
WW Soup & 1 wholemeal slice of bread with low fat dairylea triangle (4)

Salads are fab in this weather too but sometimes cant be arsed with all the preparing for one as my dh doesn't do salads.

There is a WW support thread on here somewhere its good to get tips and advice.

I eat salads too or soup in the winter. A round of toast is about 3 points and a nice snack with a cup of tea.

To be honest when I'm following ww I tent to eat the same thing for lunch every day so I know the points.

I find the Baxters vegtable soups are great - they are a bigger can than the ww ones and are 3 points.

Some supermarkets also do sanwiches which are 5 points. I know waitrose does a nice tuna one which is 5.

Fruit salad is another good one too - I've also heard eating fruit on an empty stomach makes you burn calories faster or something like that - it's from one of these diets where you don't mix food groups during a meal - hence the fruit on an empty stomach.

Thanks for the tips - I have discovered pitta bread (2.5) and low fat cheese spread (0.5- 1) as a good option.

Will look at the thread too.
