Ah, this is kinda hard to write but ok!

Hi,I’m a 37 year old female, 5’9, 17stone. I had pretty shitty last few years - new baby, job loss, 2 bereavements, financial problems.. and I turned to food. But I finally had enough because seeing myself in the pictures was literally disgusting. One good thing that because of my height and the way that I’m proportionate it doesn’t look that bad.

I have a question regards my calorie intake. So according to various calculations my TDEE is 2205cal and my BMR is 1838cal. Also basically every source says that you really shouldn’t eat under your BMR.
So for the past week I set my starting calories at 1800, for just over 400 cal deficit but most days I’m struggling to reach my BMR of required 1838cal. Is that bad? Most of the days I’m averaging 1750cal. Today I ate 1697cal and I feel stuffed.
I track all calories, weight the food and I’m sure it’s accurate but how bad is it to keep eating under my BMR? I want my weight loss to be nice and steady, nothing extreme and definitely don’t want any potential health problems of eating too little.

Any advice should I stick with my average 1750cal per day or try push up to the 1800, at least closer to my BMR?

TIA

It's too much

You'll need around 1600 to lose weight

Why not stick with the 1750 and see what happens. If you don't lose weight then reduce it.

I'm 5ft 7 and weigh almost 16 st. To lose any weight I have to eat between 1400 and 1600 calories a day.
Most workings out tell me 1800 to 2000. I just maintain on that.

None of the online TDDE calculates the adjusted weight. Your excess fat is not metabolically active and doesn't count in your daily needs to maintain function. Either put the weight you are aiming for or what is called an adjusted weight . https://www.omnicalculator.com/health/adjusted-weight

Adjusted Body Weight Calculator

The adjusted body weight calculator is a tool that helps estimate the weight of active lean body tissue, allowing for precise weight measurements and accurate estimation of nutritional needs.

I am similar I find CC does not work for me even on MJ. I have started fasting, exercising on an empty stomach (or half a banana if I am doing weights) and sticking to one or two meals a day finishing before 5pm.

Honestly, I would try MJ it is a game changer for me.
