I'm not going to watch the video but I know fasting works for people with disordered ideas about eating (I'm one of them...). I'm not good at dieting because then I constantly have food on my mind. I lost a huge amount of weight on OMAD (one meal a day) because I'm better at saying to myself "no food all day!" Than I am at saying "healthy food and all other food in moderation" all day.
Not saying that's the only kind of person it works for but dieting is a lot of work whereas fasting is very, wry little work really. When I'm on a diet I'm ravenous all the time anyway. So eating just one meal a day doesn't change that I'm ravenous, it just means the one meal I do get, I actually feel satisfied!
