How many calories is in a coffee with full fat milk, no sugar?

I've been cutting down on things as I'm trying to lose weight. I haven't lost much . And I'm examining my diet.

I think I'm drinking too many coffees , and the calories in them are adding up.

It totally depends on the amount of milk your are using. I measure out my milk for the each morning then I know have to track it.

For example I measure out 200ml, that does me my very large milky coffee in the morning, splash for my scrambled eggs for breakfast and then tea mid afternoon.

I use either soya or oat milk so I am under 100cals per day for my milk.

Hi thanks for the answer.

To clarify , I mean coffees that I have when I'm out. The coffee shops put the milk in before they give it to me. And the small coffee shops round me don't do oat or soya milk.

I'm trying to guess how much calories are in one cup.

Do you think it would be about 150 calories in one cup of coffee with full fat milk, no sugar?

This might help. https://www.costa.co.uk/menu

CeffylCoch · 03/12/2024 14:42

which coffee is it? an americano, latte? what size?
according to my app a large express latte form costa is 170 calories (semi-skimmed milk)

RosieLeaf · 03/12/2024 14:42

Depends if you mean full-fat lattes or Americanos with a splash of milk.

Download a calorie counting app like My Fitness Pal if you’re not sure about tracking.

I use my fitness pal, or if it's a chain coffee shop then they will have values listed on their website of not in the shop - Starbucks have it on their app

I usually have an Americano with a splash of milk.

Thanks for the myfitness pal suggestions. I'll download it.

I'm eating really healthily, but I think my drinking is the thing that I need to improve.

I allow 38 calories for semi skimmed in a coffee. Full fat 48 calories.

CeffylCoch · 03/12/2024 14:46

I use the nutracheck app, you can scan barcodes of your food, It's really good

ManchesterLu · 03/12/2024 14:46

It's quite a good idea to have a look at the coffee shop websites to check for calories. Coffee shops often use full fat milk - and lots of it - plus cream and other things depending on what you're drinking. One drink can easily be a couple of hundred calories, which can make a big difference if you're trying to control your weight.

There are things you can do to help though, asking for skimmed milk, seeing which the lowest calorie drinks are on the menu.. it all helps.

A lot of people fail to lose weight because they completely forget to count the calories they drink, as well as the ones they eat.

EauNeu · 03/12/2024 14:46

That's for milk in an Americano or instant. For latte it can be between 100-200
