Hi everyone,
Was about to buy mounjaro privately last week, but my parents encouraged me to see my GP first to discuss other options before I shell out £120- 200 pm for the injections. I'm 5ft 4, 15st and so fed up. I saw my (lovely) GP today and he has referred me to the local tier 3 program (Oviva or something like that). But after doing some research on this it could take months to even get help, then on top of that much longer to actually get any weight loss medication, which I've read can take a lot of hoop jumping. I just don't think I can wait that long, as I'm so sick of being tired, looking, feeling like and constantly craving crap. Also, I'm in County Durham and Tier 3 is a postcode lottery.
I'm quite a big drinker, which I believe has contributed to this weight gain- I began drinking very regulary after my nana died 6/7 years ago, and since then the weight has piled on. I crave a drink every night. I've heard that MJ has helped a lot of people greatly with drinking/alcohol cravings. Before my nan's death, I was always a size 10/12 or less, and a healthy weight.
I also have ADHD symptoms and waiting to get a formal diagnosis, which could also take a while. I've also read a lot that MJ has helped with symptoms of this, such as concentration problems, procrastination and motivation. Also, I have big plans for myself for 2025- moving to my favorite city, looking for my dream job and meeting new people- I feel like I have no time to waste and I don't want to do that tired and overweight.
I could just about afford MJ privately from Mediexpress and such places, if I make a couple of cut backs. Should I take the plunge and order or should I go through tier 3?
Thanks x
