Don't know where to start

I desperately want to lose weight but I don't know where to start. I feel so uncomfortable at the size I am. I've done slimming world before but I don't think I want to do it again.
I'm an emotional eater, boredom and stress are my main triggers.

Hi @Dontknowwhattodo223

What sort of things do you like to eat?
Do you have the possibilty to get out and go for a short walk?
Do you have a small realistic goal you'd like to reach? Like perhaps loosing 3lbs before christmas ?
Are you drinking enough water ?

@Dontknowwhattodo223
How are you getting along ?

Hi OP, I’m exactly the same. I’ve just posted on querying a new procedure called BariClip but is not available yet in the UK. I don’t know what the answer is, every diet seems to require steely willpower to work, mine has burnt out

I started by going to the gym. Then, after a few months when I felt a bit better physically, I started with my food. I decided to use Mounjaro as I have a lot to lose. It has really helped by turning off the food noise in my head. I use myNetDiary to record everything. I eat around 1550 calories a day, go to the gym four times a week and have so far lost just under 25 kgs.

Have a collection of non food related treats.

Books. Tv series. Bath products. Manicure things. Craft / Art projects.

Get some exercise into your routine everyday. The mantra, 'Something is better than nothing,' is a great one. With a fitness tracker you can see what a difference it makes. You can also log your food and ensure you don't eat more than you burn.

It's also good if you're craving a snacky treat to wait 5 minutes and then just pretend you've already eaten it!

If you like music you could go big with that and look at lyrics and learn them. If you can play an instrument you could learn to play them.
You need a really absorbing hobby or several!
